We used Information Integrator to automaticaly create an ontology from a database. The classes in the ontology and their properties match the tables in the database.

Next we created queries on the onology. The result of those queries is taken directy from the database. From those queries we generated web services and deployed them im CentraSite. These web services are used by all other parts of the system. They can also be used direcly by a client application.
